That is an excellent question... Why should you get a spray tan?
If you are someone who has been thinking about getting a spray tan done, but maaaaybe feeling a little apprehensive; I've got some great points to help bring you over to the golden side.
It's soooo easy! With a little preparation on your end, the majority of the work is left up to me (AKA your spray tanning professional) to take care of. WAY more efficient and easier than applying self tanning cream or mousse yourself. A little word to the wise; hire a professional. Don't just go to who ever offers you the cheapest spray tan. Cheap does not always mean better.
Being spray tanned is a guaranteed tan. There is no chance of a sun burn. This especially helps people who do not tan easily achieve golden God/Goddess levels. Spray tans even out the appearance of your skin. Pimples, uneven skin tones, cellulite, scars, pale/sallow skin, a spray tan will blur it all! If you are wanting to be tanned for a specific event, like your wedding, I do suggest booking a trial run around the same time you have your make up trial done. If you are not having a make up trial, I recommend having a trial spray tan done approximately 3 weeks to 1 month prior to your big day.
Now, spray tanning does have its "reputation" that has been following it around for the longest time. "Will I turn orange?" No, the only reason someone appears 'orange' is because of lower quality DHA (dihydroxyacetone - the active ingredient in ALL tanning products that works with the outer layers of your skin giving you that tanned look) used in "cheap" solutions or creams, and/or too much product or too dark of a product used for your skin tone. Too much of a good thing isn't always a good thing. I customize your tan to suit your skin tone. Part of the appointment booking time we will discuss what you’d like to look like and how well you tan in the sun. Once at the spray tanning appointment I will be able to better see your skin tone and apply the solution as required. No guessing, no issues.
"I had a spray tan before in one of those booth thingies....." Stop. Always choose a custom spray tan artist. Always.
